The Rumor of That Octagonal Building
Knock...knock...who's there...?
Rumor has it that at the beginning period of Dong Hwa, there was no Octagonal
Pavilion in the courtyard of the Humanities and Social Sciences Building I. The reason
of why building it, is all because of one incident.
Late at night, as being a good student, many postgraduates were still fighting on
their thesis. Suddenly, the patter of high-heeled footsteps came from upstairs. "Tap,
tap, tap" every single step that touches the tile floor has echoed and re-echoed
through the silent concrete building repeatedly.
One brave young man did try to capture the owner of the footsteps, but with
catching only a glimpse of the white high heel, the next second a scream burst out,
lights started to flicker, everyone ran out the building as fast as they could with fear.
Whenever an unusual phenomenon shows in the school there must be a
misunderstood. It is said that someone had committed suicide at the building so the
spirit was trapped there. For quite a while, there was no peace for humanities and
social sciences building I, as long as the night started. The university did have a feng-
shui master to look around the environment, finally they built the Octagonal Pavilion
to] conquer the unclean spirit.
Well, a rumor is still a rumor, could be true, could be false. According to the
information we have collected, the Octagonal Pavilion was in the building planning in
the first place. It was not built afterwards for sure. If you are interested in knowing
